The membership term runs from April 01 to March 31.

Active members are encouraged to renew their membership each March via AVLIC's website at www.avlic.ca/resources.php?membership#ch01.

Individuals wishing to join the association may do so at any time.

Membership Categories

Active

Active membership shall be open to interpreters who currently provide visual language interpreting services and whose application has been approved by the Board of Directors. Applications from interpreters who are graduates of an interpreter education program or who meet the defined criteria will be approved.

Dual membership in both AVLIC and MAPSLI is mandatory for Active membership.

Student

Student membership shall be open to individuals who are currently enrolled in an interpreter education program. Student members must uphold the objectives of the association.

Dual membership in both AVLIC and MAPSLI is mandatory for Student membership.
