The Nova Scotia
Community College (NSCC) has an extensive library of books and videos
that may assist visual language interpreters advance in their profession.
Borrowing options:
- MAPSLI members
may obtain a Community
Borrower's card from their nearest NSCC (14
campuses across Nova Scotia). In turn, the cardholder can
borrow library materials free of charge for a period of three
weeks. People in the Halifax Regional Municipality can borrow
items from any one of the three HRM campuses: Bell Road, Akerley
or Leeds. Other community borrowers can request the resources
be transferred to the NSCC in their region through the inter-library
loan service.
- Resources
could also be borrowed through the Halifax
Regional Public Library system. The cardholder must request
the book(s) or video(s) be transferred from the NSCC library to
the library in his/her region.
- Another option
would be to purchase an Off
Campus Borrowers card to access full Novanet privileges.
